When you come to Canberra there will be a whole world of activities that open up to you from the moment you arrive here. Whether you are coming here in winter, spring, autumn or summer there are so many wonderful activities for the young and the young at heart that everyone can take part in. Closer into the city you can have a whole other range of activities that are great for the whole family to take part in. Why not check out the Corin Forest which lies to the south of Canberra where you can ride on a flying fox and go abseiling at Ginninderra Falls which is just a fifteen minute drive from the outskirts of the Canberra. You can go rock climbing both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather or visit the Wee Jasper Caves where you can experience cave diving at its very best for something to really get the blood pumping. There is also hot air ballooning over the picturesque Brindabella Ranges or perhaps you might like to go hang gliding or sky diving for some real adventure. There is white water rafting, fishing and more to be enjoyed around the Murrumbidgee and Upper Murray rivers and for more activities based around water why not take a cruise on one of the lakes that Canberra is famous for. There are places of history to visit and plenty of attractions in Canberra to see such as Parliament House, The Observatory, Questacon, the Australian War Memorial and the National Gallery of Australia to see. Why take a cycle around Lake Burley Griffin to take in the sights or visit the Australian Institute of Sports or discover the magic of the gardens at Floriade, a celebration of spring in Commonwealth Park. There are festivals to look forward to, gardens shows, markets and many more organised events that you can see as well. Canberra is a city that has combined a metropolitan centre with the feel of country charm in one city where you can party all night, soak up an abundance of culture or just escape to the natural bushlands and National Parks. You are always guaranteed to find something that will spark your interests when you come to this amazing city.
